PortaOne, maker of the PortaSwitch VoIP billing/subscriber management platform, and AudioCodes (Nasdaq:AUDC), a leading provider of solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced the successful completion of interoperability testing between PortaOne's PortaSwitch softswitch/billing platform and MobilityPLUS, AudioCodes' mobile VoIP solution. Together, PortaSwitch and MobilityPLUS offer service providers a telephony solution spanning the needs of business, residential and roaming customers.

MobilityPLUS, comprised of a smartphone application and corresponding server component, offers "Anywhere VoIP Access" to enterprise customers. The solution connects directly with an enterprise's PBX or IP-PBX, enabling mobile business employees to communicate with their colleagues by initiating VoIP calls from their smartphones over WiFi or 3G data networks.

AudioCodes' MobilityPLUS mobile client can be privately branded. Available for both Google Android and Apple iOS, this Unified Communications (UC) application offers a strong list of features including contacts view, rich presence, instant messaging and more.

"The combination of MobilityPLUS and PortaSwitch allows VoIP service providers to deliver an easy, inexpensive UC alternative to enterprise customers," said Andriy Zhylenko, Chief Technical Officer for PortaOne. "The entire offering can be distributed, managed, configured and upgraded remotely by the MobilityPLUS Client Management System. We're excited to offer this powerfully simple and effective mobile VoIP solution in partnership with AudioCodes, one of the world's most respected VoIP networking companies."

The platform is capable of handling the complete call control, routing, proxying and converged VoIP billing functions of a diversified digital services company. When combined with MobilityPLUS, PortaOne offers an end-to-end, reliable and highly scalable service mix that can be used to help grow the provider's business.
