Neonode Receives Microsoft Windows 8 Certification for Its "zForce PLUS" Multi-touch PC Solutions

zForce PLUS is Now Listed on Microsoft's Certified Products List Website

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Neonode Inc., (Nasdaq:NEON), the optical touch company, has completed its Windows 8 certification process with Microsoft for its Multi-touch PC solution, which will be called zForce® PLUS. This official certification can be viewed on Microsoft's Certified Products List website (http://goo.gl/DUZX3q), which specifically details the approval for Neonode's zForce® PLUS (http://goo.gl/OkzbPk).

This watershed event independently validates the world-class performance of Neonode's MultiSensing® family of optical touch solutions. It also illustrates the versatility of optical technology and how it can be expanded beyond normal finger touch to new ways of human interactions with PC devices and accessories. With zForce® PLUS, Neonode is not only targeting multi-touch PC displays, but in combination with zForce® AIR, it replaces capacitive sensing PC track-pads and expensive mechanical switches in PC keyboards, thereby creating virtual touch areas on any surface.

Neonode's zForce® PLUS allows OEMs to remove front-glass from devices such as notebooks and monitors, which saves costs, reduces weight, eliminates annoying glare and reflections, and improves production yields by cutting-out the low-yield process of glass to display-lamination. However, if an OEM prefers to use a glass cover, zForce® PLUS works perfectly with it, without diminishing its low-cost, high-yield, and feature-rich solution.

Neonode's proven MultiSensing® family of technologies has an established record of low-cost, high-yield and function-rich solutions, which are demonstrable within our installed-base of millions of units in consumer hands. Neonode is already engaged with a number of Tier One PC OEMs who are working to integrate Neonode's zForce® PLUS multi-touch solutions into PC monitors, All-In-One Desktops, Chromebooks and Windows 8 Notebooks.

"After 15 months of intensive development of our new multi touch zForce® PLUS technology, we have now reached this extremely gratifying milestone of Windows 8 certification" says Thomas Eriksson, CEO of Neonode. "Adding this technology to our MultiSensing® technology family expands our offering to include multi-touch solutions for our PC customers, who are urgently demanding low-cost, high-performance, multi-touch solutions, that are easily manufactured."
