MobileIron and MOBI Announce a Partnership and Technology Integration

INDIANAPOLIS, March 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MOBI, the most technologically advanced Managed Mobility Service (MMS) provider, and MobileIron, a leader in security and management for mobile apps, content, and devices, today announced a Tech Alliance partnership and robust technology integration that optimizes how enterprises manage their mobile estates. Wireless carrier data and corporate HR data--centralized by MOBI--is combined with the device and mobile app control and visibility provided by MobileIron's Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform. As a result, enterprises unlock greater security, control, and efficiency when managing corporate owned or employee owned (BYOD) devices that are accessing corporate systems and data.

"Enterprise mobility is evolving rapidly; enabling corporations, through mobility utilization, to differentiate and drive organizational value, which also creates greater internal complexity," said Mitch Black, President of MOBI. "Through this partnership and integration between MOBI and MobileIron, organizations can now capitalize on the synergies created from the combination of Managed Mobility Services (MMS) and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM).  These two practices have always been closely related and consumed in tandem, but technology advancements, like our integration with MobileIron, are making the relationship more symbiotic than ever. Enterprises are now further able to mitigate security and cost risks, simplify and more efficiently manage their mobile devices, wireless carrier services and mobile users."

"Being a 'Mobile First' organization, means embracing mobility as your primary IT platform," said Ojas Rege, Vice President Strategy, MobileIron. "Our partnership with MOBI layers managed mobility services and technology on top of the security provided by MobileIron to support the move to Mobile First."

The MOBI and MobileIron partnership optimizes Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM). Through the use of added technology--including a robust integration between MOBI and MobileIron, and managed mobility services--enterprises achieve enhanced control, greater visibility, reduced costs, and increased efficiency when managing mobile devices. Below are the resulting offerings made available by the partnership:

  • MOBI MMS & MobileIron EMM Integration:
Adding security and efficiency, the MOBI platform is integrated with MobileIron, which allows organizations to use Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) features (wipe, lock, locate, review apps, etc.) from within MOBI's platform. The added controls are delivered on top of MOBI's cloud-based software that centralizes the management of mobile devices by integrating with wireless carriers and IT systems; and managed services that help organizations plan for, save on, deploy, support, and decommission mobile devices.

  • Expert Guided MobileIron Implementation:
Ensuring accurate MobileIron configuration based on an organization's business needs, the MOBI team guides the configuration, testing, and console training.
  • MobileIron Administration & Optimization:
Reducing internal resource requirements, ensuring security, and effective use of MobileIron licenses; the MOBI team performs: daily operation, administration, monthly optimizations, reporting, and manages program changes.
