Development Company Takes Security to the Cloud With Iveda

MESA, ARIZ.--(Marketwired - Mar 13, 2014) - Iveda® (OTCQB: IVDA), the pioneer in cloud video hosting technology recently signed up ARCUS Private Capital Solutions, LLC as a new customer for its real-time remote surveillance service, IvedaSentry™ and video hosting service, IvedaEnterprise™.

ARCUS was looking for a video surveillance solution that would allow them to remotely view and centrally manage surveillance cameras on their properties using a single online dashboard. Additionally, ARCUS wanted a security solution that was effective while at the same time more economical than hiring security guards.

Iveda provided ARCUS exactly what they asked for, starting with two of their properties, in Glendale, Arizona and Fresno, California.

At the Fresno property, Iveda replaced an existing DVR based, 96-camera system with eight cameras -- a mixture of pan/tilt/zoom, static and dome cameras -- strategically positioned in critical areas in the 12-story office building and adjacent parking garage. In Glendale, Iveda installed an Express Surveillance System (ESS) mounted on a pole, providing 360-degree view of the entire 44-acre single-family development site. The ESS is a self-contained portable, plug and play surveillance system equipped with high-end camera, solar power, and an "always on" network for connection using cellular network. Since the ESS is portable, it can be easily relocated to another site once the construction on this property is complete or hard wired onto the main property. The ESS is ideal for remote locations or construction sites where typical power source and Internet connectivity are not available.

The cameras for these two properties are linked and viewable on a single dashboard using IvedaEnterprise video hosting service. With one login, ARCUS can view all their cameras from any Internet-enabled device -- anywhere in the world -- with room to add multiple cameras in as many additional properties as they desire. This service is versatile, giving access-rights to individual property managers to view only the cameras from the property they manage while ARCUS management can view all cameras.

To complete the solution for ARCUS, Iveda also provides IvedaSentry service on the cameras, whereby intervention specialists remotely monitor the cameras in Fresno during non-business hours, providing what can be described as virtual security guard service at a fraction of the cost of guard service. In Glendale, Iveda's intervention specialists are monitoring the camera 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ARCUS receives a daily surveillance report consisting of time-stamped snapshots of the property with a brief description.

Vandalism and other illegal activities on the Glendale site are some of the problems ARCUS had to deal with. Local law enforcement has responded to multiple calls from Iveda's intervention specialists reporting suspicious activities.

Recorded video from these services has been admissible in court for evidence and can be used in court to mitigate liability claims and prosecute theft, vandalism and other offenses.
