Mr. Apfel is partner in charge of the Los Angeles office of Pepper Hamilton and co-chair of the firm's Consumer Financial Services Practice Group. Since the mid-1970s, Mr. Apfel has advised numerous clients in the United States and internationally on the full range of opportunities and challenges that a company faces. Mr. Apfel's experience includes advising on compliance matters, corporate governance issues, reorganizations and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and commercial transactions. He also advises boards of directors regarding their fiduciary duties and other responsibilities. Mr. Apfel earned his law degree in 1976 from Columbia Law School, where he was a Kent Scholar. He graduated magna cum laude from New York University in 1973.
