The fire safety tests have been conducted at a certified lab with the following Melcher product lines:

• R-series (HR, HRL, HRP), 16.8-150Vin, 144-288W
• S-series (AS-LS) and S-series with PFC, 8-385Vdc/85-264Vac in, 100W
• K-series (AK-LK) and K-series with PFC, 8-385Vdc/85-264Vac in, 150-280W
• P-series (BP-GP), 14-150Vdc in, 90-194W
• Q-series (BQ-GQ), 14-150Vdc in, 66-132W

In addition, the above product series also comply with national versions of fire & smoke standards, in particular DIN 5510-2 and NFF 16-101 (1988) classification I3/F2.

The highly reliable Melcher power supplies cover in addition to universal AC input all nominal battery voltages from 12V to 220Vdc and comply with EN50155, EN50121 and all common national and international railway and safety standards. Output voltage offerings in the range from 3.3V up to 110Vdc are available with a total output power of up to 300W covering a broad range of applications for rolling stock, signaling or track side.

All converters are packaged in rugged cassette style cases which suit 19" DIN-rack and/or chassis mounting, perfectly fitting, harsh, convection cooled environments. The fully self-protecting power supplies feature active current share, reverse polarity protection, inrush current limitation, over-voltage and under-voltage lockout, remote on/off, adjustable output voltage, 10ms interruption time, high efficiency and an operating ambient temperature range of -40 to 70°C.
