USHCC Congratulates Luis Lobo on Receiving Dar Americanism Medal

WASHINGTON, March 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to congratulate Luis Lobo, Executive Vice President and Manager of Multicultural Markets at BB &T, on receiving the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution's (NSDAR) DAR Americanism Medal. The medal is the NSDAR's highest honor bestowed upon a foreign born, naturalized U.S. citizen whose career accentuates visionary leadership, unwavering patriotism, and an unbridled spirit of service.

Luis Lobo's illustrious career, spanning over three decades, includes work in international, commercial, mortgage and retail banking. Mr. Lobo, a seasoned professional within the financial industry, also lectures at numerous universities across the country, sharing his insights on leadership, business culture, and the importance of giving back to local communities.

In 1983, Mr. Lobo earned a degree in economics and business administration from Belmont Abbey College. He also received his MBA from Campbell University, and continued his education at the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware, where he graduated with honors. In 1999, Mr. Lobo graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in the Advanced Management Program.
