MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 26, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Memphis Nephrologist Perisco A. Wofford, M.D., is partnering with DSI Renal, to open a new dialysis clinic in Memphis known as the Southwest Whitehaven Dialysis Center.
Located at 4711 Neely Road, the state-of-the-art dialysis center offers 12 in-center hemodialysis stations and an isolation room, with future plans to provide home dialysis training and support program. The clinic offers a rich package of patient amenities, including individual flat-screen televisions, heated massage chairs, Wi-Fi connectivity and free parking, to help patients undergoing treatment feel comfortable. Upon opening, the center will initially operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with plans to add more shifts as patient count increases.
The new Whitehaven location expands DSI Renal's presence in the Memphis area to three clinics serving more than 150 patients living with chronic kidney disease. The other two locations are DSI Galleria, located at 8592 Ricky Bell Cove, and DSI Memphis South, located at 3960 Knight Arnold Road.

An open house for physicians, patients, families and neighbors is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 27. Dr. Wofford is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, and is a nephrologist at Methodist Hospital South.
