CENTROTEC Sustainable AG: CENTROTEC increases net earnings by 7.5 %;
slight growth in revenue and earnings expected for 2014

Brilon, March 27, 2014: As already reported at the start of February,
CENTROTEC Sustainable AG, Brilon, achieved revenue of EUR 525.4 million in
the 2013 financial year (previous year EUR 533.8 million), with the
operating result (EBIT) of EUR 35.7 million showing an improvement on the
prior-year figure (EUR 35.2 million). The net result after tax (EAT)
improved by 7.5 % to EUR 24.0 million (previous year EUR 22.3 million).
This led to an increase in earnings per share (EPS) to EUR 1.40 (previous
year EUR 1.31).
Over the past year CENTROTEC has invested extensively in the expansion of
its production locations and the further development of its product
portfolio. The investment volume of EUR 32.5 million was well up on the
previous year (EUR 20.0 million). The company nevertheless succeeded in
scaling back net financial liabilities to EUR 21.9 million (previous year
EUR 27.5 million).
To enable the shareholders, too, to participate directly in this positive
development in the operating area as well as in the finances, the
Supervisory Board and Management Board will propose an increased dividend
of EUR 0.20 per share (previous year EUR 0.15) to the Shareholders'
Meeting.
The opening months of the current 2014 financial year have fundamentally
progressed well because of the mild winter. CENTROTEC expects a generally
favourable market environment for 2014 as a whole. Along with the
continuing sound development of the German market, there are signs of a
recovery in the general economic situation in a large number of
international markets. Nevertheless, at present it is unclear to what
extent this positive development will already affect the financial
performance of CENTROTEC in the financial year 2014. The same is true of
the changes in the regulatory framework in Germany that are currently under
discussion. Taking that into account, CENTROTEC stands by its expectation
of slight growth in revenue in earnings, and firms up its forecast for
revenue of EUR 525 to 550 million and an operating result of EUR 36 to 38
million for the full year. Provided the international political environment
remains stable, CENTROTEC believes it is in a position to achieve sustained
profitable growth by virtue of its good market position and sound financial
position.
