ARUP Wins High Honor at 2014 CLSI Leadership Conference


SALT LAKE CITY, March 27, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) announced on March 25 that ARUP Laboratories is the recipient of the 2014 Excellence in Member Organization Leadership award.

The award was presented at CLSI's leadership conference in Baltimore, Maryland, and accepted by Charles D. Hawker, PhD, David G. Grenache, PhD, and Elizabeth Frank, PhD, on behalf of ARUP. Past winners of the Excellence in Member Organization Leadership award include Siemens Healthcare and Cleveland Clinic.

In announcing the award, CLSI noted: "ARUP has been a long-standing institutional member that has made a clear and unambiguous commitment to the vision and mission of CLSI to produce standards of utmost quality for the benefit of health care providers and laboratory professionals globally."

Charles D. Hawker, David G. Grenache, and Elizabeth Frank are past winners of the following CLSI awards: Excellence in Mentoring in Standards Development, the John V. Bergen award, and Excellence in Consensus Management. Nineteen ARUP staff members currently serve as CLSI members.
