Sanoma sells online news service Apollo in Latvia

Sanoma Corporation, Press Release, 28 March 2014 at 16:30 CET+1

Sanoma divests its online news service Apollo in Latvia. Apollo is bought by Eesti Meedia, a leading media group in the Baltics. Sanoma will continue operations in the Baltics with e.g. its strong Auto24 brand.

As part of the transaction, Apollo’s employees will transfer to the new owner. Net sales for the sold business totalled around EUR 0.8 million in 2013.

The divestment is in line with Sanoma’s strategy to focus its operations and divest selected ownerships.
