Sightlines Rolls Out Free "Sightlines Insights" E-Newsletter for University Business Officers and Facilities Executives

Monthly Email Newsletter Part of Company's Program to Serve as Resource to University Business Officers on Important Facilities Management and Investment Issues

GUILFORD, Conn., March 31, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sightlines, a leader in helping academic institutions better manage their facilities and capital investment strategies, has launched a free monthly electronic newsletter that provides university business officers with deep insights into facilities asset management issues.

"Our goal is to serve as a trusted resource for campus leaders to help them gain a deeper understanding of how to bridge the operational requirements of financial management and facilities management," said Jay Pearlman, associate vice president at Sightlines. "Drawing on our comprehensive database and unique perspective gained from our work at more than 450 institutions, we feature a wide range of free content in 'Sightlines Insights' that help academic institutions make better decisions about their facilities."

This month, for example, "Sightlines Insights" includes a helpful article by Sightlines Vice President Jim Kadamus that offers ideas for how to best engage boards of trustees in productive conversations around facilities investments.

"Our free monthly e-newsletter is part of a larger program we rolled out this year that is designed to share our unique content with the education community so that we can all learn from each other's experiences and work together to improve the learning environments for America's students," said Pearlman. "Since launching this program in January, we've seen traffic to our website double, so clearly we are tapping into a real need in the marketplace for objective, actionable information related to academic facilities management."

The Sightlines Higher Ed content program includes weekly blog posts on key facility policy and management issues, the monthly "Sightlines Insights" newsletter delivered via email, substantive content produced monthly – such as research reports and Q&A profiles with industry leaders – and an annual report on "State of Facilities in Higher Education" produced by Sightlines. The 2014 annual report is in development now and will be published in early-June.

Sightlines also provides visitors to its website (www.sightlines.com) with access to a knowledge library that includes recorded webinars, presentations and various research pieces that deliver unparalleled insight into current trends and best practices in the higher education facilities management industry.
