Tallinn, 2014-04-03 08:50 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Statistics for March 2014 and the first quarter of the 2014 financial year
In March 2014 AS Tallink Grupp transported 701 180 passengers which is nearly a 1% decrease compared to March 2013. The number of passenger vehicles increased by almost 2% to 77 821 and the number of trucks and trailers increased by almost 18% to 28 422 units in same comparison.
In the first quarter of the 2014 financial year (January-March) AS Tallink Grupp transported 1 905 555 passengers which is nearly a 1% increase compared to the previous year. The number of passenger vehicles increased by 4% to 215 013 units transported and the number of trucks and trailers increased by almost 15% to 76 791 units in same comparison.

The following operational factors influenced the development in March 2014:
ESTONIA-SWEDEN
The cruise ferry Victoria I did not operate for 8 days due to scheduled maintenance, the vessel was not replaced during that time.
LATVIA-SWEDEN
In May 2013 the cruise ferry Isabelle replaced the cruise ferry Silja Festival on the Riga-Stockholm route.
