RECOGNITION OF FLUSHABLE WIPES MADE EASIER: SUOMINEN INTRODUCES NEW LOGO FOR USE WITH WIPES MADE FROM HYDRASPUN® DISPERSIBLE SUBSTRATE
Suominen, a leading global manufacturer of nonwoven roll goods for wiping products, will introduce a new logo to depict the flushability and dispersibility of its Hydraspun Dispersible Substrates at the INDEX14 exhibition in Geneva. The exhibition starts on Tuesday April 8th.
Suominen’s understanding of the global consumer demand led it to develop its unique patented offering of Hydraspun Dispersible Substrates. Designed to disperse in an aquatic environment, these substrates have shown themselves to be invaluable in the development and growth of consumer products like flushable moist toilet wipes and flushable bathroom cleaning wipes.
In order to positively promote the flushability and dispersibility of flushable wiping products, Suominen designed a new logo to be used in connection with Hydraspun Dispersible Substrates. Researched with consumers last year, the new registered logo graphically represents a wipe breaking up when in a water environment and carries the words “flushable and dispersible”.
Speaking about the launch of the new flushable logo, Saara Söderberg, VP Marketing and Product Management said “We truly believe our customers will benefit from the chance to use our flushable logo on their packaging of flushable wipes in order to fully differentiate from other kinds of wipes, like baby wipes, which are mostly not designed to be flushed at all. Our research with consumers confirmed their desire for such a logo to be easily seen on packs of flushable wipes so that they could be clear they could dispose of them by flushing down the toilet with confidence.”
