Advisor-Friendly, Client-Centric Wealth Access Prepares for Growth

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wealth Access, Inc. a leading financial services technology company that allows individuals, advisors and family offices to intelligently manage wealth, today announced the expansion of their team, hiring Gene Reese as Chief Product Officer. Reese brings to Wealth Access an abundance of experience in product management at FinTech companies, most recently serving as Chief Product Officer for Interactive Advisory Software.  He began his career at Investment Scorecard, Inc. performing investment data analysis, as well as project management and systems analysis.  Investment Scorecard, Inc. provides third-party performance reports, and was acquired by Informa, PLC in April of 2007.

Over his career Reese had watched many software solutions come and go, none of which allowed wealth advisors and their clients to gain a holistic view of wealth in order to make informed, cost-effective investment decisions.  Wealth Access is the only software designed to enable wealth management professionals and their clients to collaborate in real-time.  It provides a powerful, yet simple, reporting platform that fills the void for a transparent, client-focused wealth advisory solution.  "We are primed for mobile, multi-generational wealth reporting and integrations," said Reese, "and hope to quickly expand our reach through the larger nationwide financial institutions."

Wealth Access CEO, David Benskin, is excited about the recent hire:  "We are thrilled to bring Gene onboard.  He has a tremendous amount of experience in the industry which will help us continue to put the best product we can out there for our customers."

In addition, Chris Haley, a Principal at Harbor View Advisors, will join the Wealth Access Advisory Board. Prior to joining Harbor View, Chris was Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of Black Diamond Performance Reporting, LLC where he helped grow the company from $1.5 million in revenue to more than $12 million in four years.  Black Diamond was the leading independent provider of Web-based, outsourced portfolio management and reporting platforms to independent advisors until its acquisition by Advent Software, Inc. in June of 2011.

"Chris has the vision, operations experience, and expertise negotiating significant strategic and collaboration agreements with national financial institutions and other third party technology providers," added Benskin.  "With the addition of such accomplished talent as Gene and Chris, our team will continue to take another step into the future of intelligent financial management.   We believe transparency through technology will transform advisors relationships with their clients."

Wealth Access is among the fastest growing wealth management platforms in America.  Last year, investors added over $3 billion in assets and liabilities for management through the platform.  An additional $2 billion in assets and liabilities were added to the platform since the release of Version 2.0 earlier this year.  The company has experienced over 100 percent growth in consumer usage across Wealth Access customers and partners.  While the company targets the growing RIA market, Wealth Access has also successfully partnered with regional broker-dealers, a top five accounting firm in the Southeast, single-family offices, as well as banks.  The Wealth Access team currently consists of fourteen employees and will continue to add top talent to facilitate the rapid growth of its pioneering advisor-client portal.
