The Belgrade Commercial Court dismissed the request to set-aside the partial arbitral award


Alytus, Lithuania, 2014-04-08 15:56 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 7/03/2014 Company Group “ALITA”, AB, code 302444238, registered office at Miškininkų g. 17, Alytus, the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the Company) received the decision of the Belgrade Commercial Court in Serbian language, whereby the Belgrade Commercial Court without examining the case on the merits based on procedural issues dismissed the Company’s request to set aside the partial award concerning the jurisdiction of the Foreign Trade Court of Arbitration at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (further – arbitration court) of 15/11/2011, whereby the Company had been included in arbitration proceedings as a respondent. The Belgrade Commercial Court decision is subject to appeal. More detailed information on the previous decision of Serbian Commercial Appellate Court, by which the decision of lower instance court - the Belgrade (Serbia) Commercial Court regarding the inclusion of the Company as a respondent in arbitration proceedings was annulled and this issue was returned for re-examination to the Belgrade Commercial Court, was announced by the Company in the Company’s 2014-03-04 notification on material event.
