More Animal Groups Adopt Buckaroo.com for Local Advertising

Marketing on Buckaroo dramatically increases among pet shelters; Local hub hosts over 13,000 animal adoption groups

San Jose, CA, April 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --  Buckaroo, the new provider of local shopping, news and events, saw increased engagement with animal adoption groups this year, supporting a strong need nonprofit organizations have for local marketing platforms. More than 10% of adoptable pets that cross Buckaroo's platform are being adopted daily by subscribers.

"The increased use of Buckaroo by smaller organizations is a great sign," commented Alan Fisher, Co-Founder and Chairman of Buckaroo's parent company Iron Speed. "We feel Buckaroo makes a tremendous impact for groups like pet shelters due to our breadth of subscribers."

Buckaroo's free posting service and compelling design helps organizations make themselves known to any of the hub's 100,000 communities across North America.

"Many people in our location have no idea we exist," said Candi Willey, Vice President of the Center for Avian Adoption in Fargo, ND. "We're operating at full capacity and since we pick adoptees carefully, we really need a way to reach out to a larger number of people. Using Buckaroo.com has made a difference."

In addition to user-created posts, Buckaroo works to support charity and nonprofit initiatives with weekly reminders to subscribers to get involved in their local community.

Originally operating as a deals-only platform, Buckaroo works within a marketing-centric business model, providing a place for local news, entertainment and a voice for the average user in their community. Users with an account receive 'What's Hot', a daily newsletter giving subscribers a free snapshot of what's happening in their neighborhood.
