Anholt and Southern Harvest Announce Expansion Into Romania


WESTPORT, Conn., April 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Anholt Services (USA), Inc. (together with its affiliates and owners, "Anholt") announced today that Southern Harvest, LP, a subsidiary of Anholt Investments, Limited, has acquired approximately 6,000 hectares of agricultural land in Romania in two separate transactions. This land is primarily used for wheat, corn, mustard seed and sunflower farming. As part of this transaction, Southern Harvest also acquired large and state of the art storage facilities.

This acquisition brings Southern Harvest's total land ownership to approximately 29,000 hectares, with the rest of the land being located in Uruguay and Paraguay.
