NEW YORK, April 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Induction Ceremony & Concert Television Show returns to New York City taping on May 19th in Midtown Manhattan. Tickets go on-sale Thursday April 24th after the kick-off press conference. The show will be co-hosted by the legendary female MC Roxanne Shante', who at age 14 performed with the Juice Crew and producer legend Marley Marl making hip-hop history. Producers are actively in talks to negotiate a television broadcasting rights package with potential networks. This will be the first broadcast of the show since it aired in National Syndication and on the BET Cable Network in the 1990s. "The BET show Inductions included Run DMC with Jam Master Jay, the Godfather of Hip Hop DJ Kool Herc, and DJs Grandmaster Flash, and Kool DJ Red Alert, and others Included the Zulu Nation, Easy E and more that will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame 'Hip Hop Museum in Midtown'," stated Chairman JT Thompson the creator and executive producer of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards.

The 2014 Hip Hop Hall of Fame Class Part One will be announced at a press conference at 1pm on Thursday April 24th at the National Black Theater in Harlem, NY. "The Hip Hop Hall of Fame will re-launch its official website http://hiphophof.org to the world, and kick off its own Fan VIP Membership Drive," stated Kenny 'Lord YodaX' Syder, a committee co-chair. The first 350,000 Fans to sign up for VIP Membership for a $35 donation by June 30th will be enshrined in the Founding Fans 'Wall of Fame' real museum exhibit inside the Hall of Fame.
The original Hip Hop Hall of Fame brand returns with its own HHHOF Museum & Entertainment Complex opening in Midtown Manhattan in 2016 that will feature the Hall, a Museum, Retail Gift Store, Arcade, Restaurant, Sports Bar, TV Studios, and Concert Lounge producing 200 live events and concerts per year. It will serve an estimated 1,000,000 visitors, fans, and tourists annually producing a socio-economic impact of $350M to the New York economy annually.
