Plug Power Hosts Conference Call to Discuss April Business Update


LATHAM, N.Y., April 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions, will host a conference call today where company President and CEO Andy Marsh will provide a business update.

To date, Plug Power has closed 9 GenKey deals, totaling almost $80 million in bookings. GenKey is a combination of GenDrive hydrogen fuel cells, GenFuel hydrogen fuel distribution and infrastructure and GenCare service. The convenience and one-stop nature of GenKey continues to enable customers to easily transition to fuel cell power for their material handling sites.

Also on the call will be an update on Plug Power's plans for ReliOn, the developer of hydrogen fuel cell stack technology and fuel cell systems, which it acquired in March of 2014. Through this acquisition, Plug Power now owns fuel cell stack technology that can be used in several of its GenDrive fuel cell products.

Finally, Mr. Marsh will outline Plug Power's growth strategy, including geographic expansion and market diversification. Plug Power is capitalizing on its leadership position in the fuel cell industry to accelerate business growth.
