Norges Bank’s holding in UPM has gone above the threshold of 5 per cent

UPM-Kymmene Corporation has on 18 April 2014 received an announcement under Chapter 9, Section 5 of the Securities Markets Act, according to which Norges Bank’s (The Central Bank of Norway) holding in UPM has gone above the threshold of 5 per cent on 17 April 2014 after a share lending transaction where Norges Bank is the lender.

According to the announcement, Norges Bank’s holding in UPM has increased from 25,277,075 to 26,700,625 shares, corresponding to 5.02 per cent of UPM's shares and voting rights. UPM’s registered total number of shares and voting rights amounting to 532,149,381 has been used in the calculation of percentages for the announcement.
