Pulse Systems Appoints Richard Ungaro Senior Vice President, Operations

Ungaro to Focus on Enhancing "the Pulse experience"

WICHITA, Kan., April 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pulse Systems, Inc., an industry-leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management and Revenue Cycle Management solutions, announced today it has appointed Richard Ungaro as its Senior Vice President, Operations. Mr. Ungaro, an experienced executive with a proven track record of success, will be responsible for managing Pulse's implementation, training and professional services teams, while enhancing "the Pulse experience." The Pulse experience is what Pulse wants each of its clients to receive when working with Pulse, which is best-in-class client services and support from employees that truly care for a physician's practice as if it were their own.

During his 40-year career, Mr. Ungaro has played an integral, "hands-on" role in building several national brands and has held key executive leadership positions at Burger King, Wendy's, Starbucks, Blockbuster Entertainment Group, among others. Throughout his tenure at each of these recognizable brands, Mr. Ungaro created and defined how these concepts interfaced with clients on a day-to-day basis, defining and executing each brand's customer experience, and he has the same objective for Pulse.

"I am eager to help Pulse identify and capitalize on the aspects that separate Pulse from its peers, ranging from our 2014 certified, easy-to-use solutions, to our best-in-class client services," Ungaro stated. "If I can write it down, I can teach it; if I can teach it, all of our people can pledge to deliver it to our clients, each and every day," said Ungaro. "It is critical at this stage in Pulse's evolution that we continue to focus on expanding the business and fulfilling the company's mission to make its physician practice clients as successful as possible. I am confident that my experience will help us do just that."

Jeff Burton, Pulse's President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "As the management team at Pulse focuses on the company's growth, we believe Rich's deep knowledge will be a significant benefit to our clients and our employees. We welcome Rich to the Pulse family and will rely on his expertise to help us further improve the interactions we have with our clients and guide us as we continue building a world-class service organization."
