Cramo signs a major modular space deal in Germany

Cramo’s German subsidiary, Theisen Baumaschinen, and German energy company Technische Werke Ludwigshafen (TWL) have signed a contract whereby TWL rents modular space for its headquarter operations in Ludwigshafen. The total project covers 2.500 m². The main building, comprising of 1.600 m² in three storeys, includes approximately 100 workstations, conference areas, lunch rooms, kitchen and sanitary facilities. The rental contract is signed for four years.

“This is a major breakthrough for our modular space operations in Central Europe”, says SVP Mr Petri Moksén, Head of Cramo Adapteo. “The extent of the contract is substantial also from the Nordic perspective, where our operations have been well established over the past 25 years. In Germany, where we have been active only for a couple of years, this is a strategically important stepping stone into the modular space market”.

“High comfort and good energy efficiency in particular, were important criteria for us as an energy provider when making our choice”, Mr Reiner Lübke Chief Technical Officer at TWL confirms. “We needed a quick solution, but as we plan to use the pavilions for a longer period, they must meet high standards in terms of working environment.”

“Cramo’s wooden modules are standard in the Nordic countries, but new to the German market where we normally use container type modules”, says Mr Dirk Schlitzkus, EVP at Cramo Group and Managing Director of Theisen Baumaschinen.

A 200 m² office building in two storeys and a storage building together with a maintenance workshop situated in a hangar, will be ready by the end of June, and the main building will be ready to move into on at the end of July.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the contract.
