Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 23 April 2014 that the number of shares in the Company held by Norges Bank (The Central Bank of Norway) has decreased below 5% of the paid-up share capital and the number of shares in Stora Enso Oyj following a share lending transaction on 22 April 2014 in which Norges Bank is the lender.

With reference to Chapter 9, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 22 April 2014 the shareholding of Norges Bank is as follows:
 

The holding of Norges Bank has been calculated according to the share capital registered on 22 April 2014.
