HOUSTON, April 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- David Weekley Homes, the nation's largest privately-held home builder, announced today its entrance into Chicago, Illinois. In addition, Weekley announces the promotion of John Morgan to Division President to lead the company's Chicago Team. This marks the first time the award-winning home builder is building homes in this state. Anticipated sales of Weekley's in-town, high density homes to begin fourth quarter 2014.

Morgan will bring 10 years of home building experience with him to Chicago, all with David Weekley Homes. Morgan joined the company in 2004 and served as a project manager before his promotion to Division President. Morgan will be invaluable to the newly-launched Chicago division as he has excelled at assembling teams of talented individuals and motivating them to achieve both company and personal goals. He earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A &M University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
