At JSC "Rīgas kuģu būvētava" repair of two big ships has been finished

        JSC "Rīgas kuģu būvētava" has succefully finished the repair of two big tankers.

        The Ice class tanker "RN Murmansk" was executed a large volume of works in the corps cleaning and in dye. With a special coloring, what is ice enduring and in a defender ships from corrosion, a ship underwater part was paint in a 2400 m² area. The replacement of ship steel constructions was similarly executed in underwater part, the pumps of 16 load holds are repaired. The repair of diesels and mechanisms was executed in the machine part.

        The ship "RN Murmansk" floats under the Cyprus flag and its sea port is in Limassol. Ship length is 176 m, width - 30 m, carrying capacity - 30720 tons. This ship was built in Spain and was commissioned in 2008.

        In turn, tanker "Arctic Blizzard", which floats under the Malta flag and its sea port is in Valletta, the area of the corps was cleaned and repainted in 12 100 m². There were changed ship steel and sleeves of the corps external edging. This tanker was built in 2006 in South Korea. His length is 183 m, width - 36 m, carrying capacity – 50 858 tons.

All the works are executed in the terms envisaged by the contracts and in good quality.

According to the concluded ship repair agreements the next ships are ready for repair in a dock of JSC "Rīgas kuģu būvētava".
