Dennis Grantham, a nationally renowned magazine editor, brings a wealth of marketing communications experience to OPEN MINDS. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and Allegheny College, Mr. Grantham most recently served as editor-in-chief of Behavioral Healthcare, a magazine serving leaders of mental health and addiction treatment organizations. Prior to joining the Vendome Group, Mr. Grantham worked at Claron, LLC, providing marketing and crisis communications support for a variety of clients, including manufacturers, metals producers and processors, plastics and plastic product companies.

Dr. Alberto Varela, MD, an accomplished physician, psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst, started Inspira, a private organization, located in Puerto Rico, dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of emotional, psychological, and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Valera earned a Medical Degree from University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed his studies in General Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and completed additional training in children's psychiatry at Hahnemann Medical College. In addition, Dr. Valera completed training in psychoanalysis at the Philadelphia Association for Psychoanalysis.

Ken Carr brings more than 18 years of experience leading finance departments in a variety of health and human service organizations to OPEN MINDS. Mr. Carr is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Guild Incorporated in St. Paul, Minnesota. He first started with the organization in 1989 as the Director of Finance. After 11 years, Mr. Carr went on to work with the American Red Cross. He returned to Guild Incorporated in 2006 in his current role. Committed to assessing and changing business processes to improve and impact the services for the individuals Guild Incorporated serves, Mr. Carr successfully led the charge during an electronic medical record implementation, helping to integrate scheduling, service documentation, and billing. Mr. Carr earned a Bachelor's degree in Business of Administration from University of South Dakota and a Master of Divinity Degree from Sioux Fall.

Bradley Austin brings expertise in geographic information systems and data mapping to OPEN MINDS. Mr. Austin is currently a Doctoral candidate at Kent State University with an anticipated graduation of August 2014. A focus of his studies has been looking at social media trends and how they affect the perspectives of weather.

Mr. Austin has also held a variety of academic positions, including Instructor of Geography and Online Teaching Assistant of Geographies of War and Peace at Kent State University. His non-academic work experience includes Community Outreach Specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and Wetland Field Technician at Pennsylvania State University.
