Vectron International Obtains ETL Listed Mark for ViSmart(R) Viscosity Sensor and Shunt-Diode Barrier

Latest Safety Certification Supports the Use of the ViSmart(R) Viscosity Measurement System in North American and Canadian Hazardous Industrial Applications Such as Flexographic Printing

BALTIMORE, April 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vectron International, a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of piezoelectric technology based products today announced that it has received the ETL Listed Mark for the ViSmart® VS-2511 Viscosity Sensor and the VB-2510 Shunt-Diode Barrier. Marketed under Vectron's SenGenuity family of sensors, the VS-2511, VB-2510 and controller interface products will be showcased at INFO*FLEX being held at the Baltimore Convention Center April 28-29th, booth #722. The ViSmart® viscosity measurement system is an ideal solution for solvent-based ink measurement and control. The VS–2511, VB–2510, and VisConnect® VC–20xx Series Converters can easily be integrated into solvent-based printing presses and ink control systems.

Performance and certification testing of the VS-2511 Viscosity Sensor and the VB-2510 Shunt-Diode Barrier was conducted by Intertek. Intertek is an independent National Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). The ETL Listed Mark shows demonstrated compliance to UL/ANSI/CAN/CSA product safety standards. Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in all 50 states and Canada accept the ETL Listed Mark as proof of product safety.

In addition to the ETL Listed Mark, the VS-2511 and VB-2510 bear the CE marking which indicates product compliance to applicable directives for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA).
