The Acetium® capsules and lozenges are the only products in the market which can significantly reduce carcinogenic acetaldehyde exposure.
The Acetium® capsules are meant to protect the stomach of persons with a low or anacidic stomach, for example due to atrophic gastritis or continued use of PPI´s (Proton Pump Inhibitors). Biohit has started two clinical trials with Acetium® capsule for prevention of migraine-type headache.
The Acetium® lozenge removes more than 90 per cent of the acetaldehyde dissolved in saliva during smoking and can possibly help with smoking cessation. Biohit has started a clinical intervention trial with Acetium® lozenge aimed at smoking cessation.
