ATLANTA, May 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Innovation in technology to improve water infrastructure is the subject of a one-day event hosted by Echologics and Severn Trent Water. The event will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Severn Trent Centre in Coventry, United Kingdom.

The invitation-only event connects leaders from across the water industry to discuss challenges and successes to improve leak detection practices. Leadership from both companies will participate in a panel to discuss leakage management.
Additional topics include acoustic leak detection, where Echologics and Severn Trent Water will highlight the successes of several counties in England using the LeakFinderST™ correlator and how it has helped the counties improve the efficiency and accuracy of identifying leaks across all piping materials including plastic. Co-developed by Echologics and Severn Trent Water with the help of Loughborough University, LeakFinderST is a commercial noise correlator that saves time and energy when detecting leaks.
