Santrol Opens Eighth Proppant Terminal in Permian Basin

Carlsbad, New Mexico, Terminal Continues to Improve Customers' Proppant Transportation Efficiency


SUGAR LAND, Texas, May 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Santrol, a Fairmount Minerals company, announced today the opening of its eighth proppant terminal in the Permian Basin as part of the continuing strategy to enhance customers' proppant transportation efficiency. The new Carlsbad, New Mexico, rail terminal is serving the western part of the basin.

Santrol's seven other Permian Basin terminals are:

-Big Lake, Texas—rail terminal facility with access to Interstate 10 and Interstate 20, serving the southeastern part of the basin

-Kermit, Texas—rail terminal facility with access to State Highway 115, serving the south central part of the basin

-Monahans, Texas I and II—rail terminal facility with access to Interstate 20, serving the southwestern part of the basin

-Odessa, Texas—rail terminal facility with access to Interstate 20, serving the south central part of the basin

-Slaton, Texas—rail terminal facility with access to State Highway 84, serving the northern part of the basin

-Sweetwater, Texas—rail terminal facility with access to State Highway 70, serving the eastern part of the basin.
