Armanino Celebrates Its Sixth Annual Great Give

A Day of Community Service Helping 22 Nonprofits

SAN RAMON, Calif., May 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Armanino LLP, the 29th largest accounting and business consulting firm in the nation and the largest based in California, announced today that their community outreach program, the Great Give, will take place on Thursday, May 22. The company-wide program provides opportunities for employees to contribute their time and energy to positively impact their local communities.

"Armanino is proud of its tradition of partnering with philanthropic organizations through the Great Give program. I have seen first hand the meaningful difference we make when we work together to improve the lives of others," said Managing Partner Andy Armanino.

As the Great Give enters its sixth year, Armanino is seeing more involvement than ever, as 360 employees volunteer over 2,000 hours to a variety of nonprofits and charities. They will be doing everything from serving meals, painting buildings to habitat restoration and helping seniors and children.

Started as a one-time event, it has turned into a yearly tradition where all Armanino employees are encouraged to nominate charities in their individual communities. Once narrowed down to a final list, employees select which nonprofit they will spend the day helping.

"Every year I'm impressed with the dedication shown by our employees," said Armanino. "As the firm continues growing, adding both people and locations, I'm inspired by the high level of participation and desire to revitalize our communities."

Since 2009, Armanino's Great Give has donated over 10,000 hours of community service to more than 100 nonprofit organizations including local schools, assisted living communities, animal shelters, food banks, homeless shelters, community parks and more.

This year, the Great Give will have Armanino employees rolling up their sleeves to assist with repairs and maintenance, working on beautification and gardening projects and prepping for fundraising events and community outreach. All told the Great Give will reach 22 organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Ore., and Chicago including 9 senior and community centers and 5 public park and recreation areas and conservation groups.
