Farmers Capital Bank Corporation Redeems a Portion of Its Outstanding Preferred Stock


FRANKFORT, Ky., May 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Farmers Capital Bank Corporation (Nasdaq:FFKT) (the "Company") today announced that it completed the redemption of 10,000 shares, or one-third of its outstanding Series A preferred stock, for a total of $10.2 million. The purchase price of the shares was equal to the stated liquidation value of $1,000 per share, plus accrued dividends of $22.50 per share. The Company used internally generated cash flows to facilitate the redemption and incurred no additional debt and issued no additional common equity.
