Quality Carriers Expands in the Chicago Market

TAMPA, Fla., May 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Quality Carriers, Inc. ("Quality Carriers"), the leading North American bulk chemical carrier, has expanded its presence in the Chicago market.

"Recently, we announced expansion in Denver, West Texas, Houston, Indianapolis and Pennsylvania," stated Randy Strutz, President, Quality Carriers. "As we review the market and meet with our customers, we have found the need for expanded capacity in the core chemical market of greater Chicago. As a result, one of our existing independent affiliates agreed to expand their Midwest presence by opening in Channahon, IL, a suburb of Chicago."

"As an independent affiliate of Quality Carriers, we already have well established terminals in Cincinnati, Lima, Barberton, and Southpoint, OH; Institute, WV; and Morton, IL. The Chicago market opportunity is an attractive one as it helps us round out our Midwest presence. This gives us another market for driver recruiting and enhances our ability for lane efficiency," commented Jody Mangeot, President, Linmoore Investments.

"This has been an exciting start to the year. We still have many other markets under review and plan to continue our network expansion," continued Randy Strutz.

Quality Carriers, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quality Distribution, Inc. (Nasdaq:QLTY), operates the largest chemical bulk logistics network in North America. Quality Carrier's network of independent affiliates and independent owner-operators provides nationwide bulk transportation and related services. Quality Carriers is an American Chemistry Council Responsible Care® Partner and is a core carrier for many of the Fortune 500 companies that are engaged in chemical production and processing.
