Dr. Brady to Cover the Impact of mHealth on Wellness Programs and Chronic Conditions During May 20 Educational Session


BALTIMORE, Md., May 19, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Telemedicine Association Annual Trade Show -- BettrLife, a leader in health and wellness technology, announced today that Advisory Board member, Ignatius (Nate) Brady, MD, MPH, director of occupational medicine for Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa will present an educational session at the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Annual Trade Show in Baltimore, Md. Dr. Brady's "Impact of mHealth on Wellness Program and Chronic Conditions" presentation will take place on Tuesday, May 20 from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. within the Patient-Focused Care track of the meeting on Using mHealth to put Patients First.

During the session, Dr. Brady will expose how user engagement with mHealth can promote enhanced overall health and wellness and drive long-term behavior change. Additionally, he will demonstrate how mHealth will impact the main drivers of chronic conditions and how technology in wellness will have a significant impact on personal wellness and controlling healthcare's rising costs.

Nate Brady, MD, MPH is a 1997 graduate of the University of Colorado and a 1999 graduate of the University of Iowa, College of Public Health where he received a masters of public health. In 2001, he completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics with a specialty in occupational medicine. Dr. Brady is currently the director for occupational medicine at MercyCare Occupational Health in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he provides physical examinations and services for evaluation, treatment and prevention of work-related injuries.
