Aptean Launches Process Manufacturing Suite at Edge 2014

ATLANTA, May 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today Aptean launched the Aptean Process Manufacturing solution suite, making the announcement at Edge 2014, currently in progress in Las Vegas.

The Process Manufacturing suite seamlessly connects Aptean's Ross ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Factory MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and Pivotal CRM (Customer Relationship Management Solution) solutions, enabling all the products to share operations data and holistically complement each other when customers are executing process manufacturing decisions. Most importantly, the new suite provides process manufacturers with a single view of operations, inventory and financial data.

"Process manufacturers need operations and financial visibility at all times, to quickly execute decisions that can affect overall production immediately," said Jennifer Sherman, senior vice president, product management, Aptean. "The new Process Manufacturing suite features integrated, best-in-class CRM and manufacturing capabilities that enable those crucial, real-time decisions to be informed by a manufacturer's entire operations process."

Aptean customer Berner Foods has all of the connected Aptean products currently supporting their process manufacturing operations:

"The new Aptean Process Manufacturing suite enables all of our Aptean solutions to operate in concert, proving even more efficiency and cost savings in our operations process," said Troy Grove, chief information officer, Berner Food & Beverage.

The solution suite features Aptean Analytics for Process Manufacturing, a new business intelligence solution designed to pull in data from all three integrated products, providing process manufacturers with complete visibility of profit and cost factors, as well as order patterns and trends. In addition, the suite features the power of personalization and collaboration, as the tool can be personalized to fit specific roles and the data easily shared with colleagues.

"Leading companies use a comprehensive suite that brings together all aspects of the enterprise manufacturing process," said Kevin Prouty, senior vice president, Aberdeen Group. "Tying together purpose-built products into a purpose-built solution can provide the tools needed for the success of process manufacturers."

Additional capabilities of the Aptean Process Manufacturing suite include:

  • The Aptean Business Platform: Architecture that leverages Aptean's Event Management Framework to provide process manufacturers with the intelligent connectivity needed to share information and trigger action between manufacturing processes.

  • Sales Force Automation: The solution suite enables streamlined sales force automation purpose-built for manufacturers by leveraging the flexible framework of Aptean Pivotal.

Aptean Edge will be held through Thursday, May 22nd and features keynotes from "Dirty Jobs" host and skilled trades advocate Mike Rowe, as well as customer service guru Shep Hyken and executives from Aptean customers The Cheesecake Factory and Citizens Bank.
