Skanska to renovate Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, Sweden, for SEK 700 M


Skanska has signed a contract with the National Property Board of Sweden to
renovate and reconstruct Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, Sweden. The contract is
worth about SEK 700 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska
Sweden for the second quarter of 2014.
The project comprises renovation of the main building, installation of lifts,
technical installations, safety measures, the establishment of
telecommunications equipment and minor works in the annex. In addition, a
culvert connecting the buildings will be constructed.

Nationalmuseum has a gross area of 21,000 square meters of the main building and
1,200 square meters for the annex. The ambition is that the renovation will
qualify the building for certification according to Miljöbyggnad, level Silver.

Construction start is planned for August 2014, and the renovation works will be
completed in June 2017.
