IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Kansas Practice


NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq:IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Eastside Medical Consultants, LLC (EMC), based in Wichita, Kansas. The acquisition represents IPC's second transaction in the Wichita market in the past 15 months, having established a presence in Wichita in the first quarter of 2013. EMC has provided hospitalist services in the Wichita area since 2002.
