The Solar Group appoints a Commercial Director and makes changes to its management team.
We are very pleased to announce that Hugo Dorph has been appointed Commercial Director at Solar A/S and will be part of Solar’s management team with immediate effect.
The job function is new in Solar and will include sales and marketing, product/industry management and business development.
Hugo Dorph, a 49-year-old Dane, is an experienced international leader, and Solar looks forward to benefiting from his competences and experience.
Following a long career within sales and e-business with IBM, Hugo Dorph was CEO of the listed Danish IT company Maconomy until the company was sold to American Deltek. Subsequently, he managed a successful integration of Maconomy into Deltek and headed one of Deltek’s divisions until he and his family decided to return to Denmark.
At the same time as Hugo Dorph joins Solar, Corporate Sales and Marketing Director Claudio Christensen leaves Solar. Claudio Christensen has made a great contribution to the development of Solar’s sales and e-business activities, and we thank him for his efforts.
In addition, Solar wants to strengthen the sourcing activities across our subsidiaries. Therefore, we hand over the overall sourcing responsibility to Jan Willy Fjellvær who will take on this responsibility in addition to his role as Chief Executive Director of Solar Norge. Jan Willy Fjellvær started his professional career in the sourcing field, and over the years Solar Norge has handled their supplier relations with great skills.
As a consequence of these organisational changes, Corporate Market Director Per Andersen will leave his position. We thank Per Andersen for his committed efforts within sourcing and product management.
