Arkema to increase prices on all grades of hydrogen peroxide in North America

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., June 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Arkema is increasing its prices for all grades of hydrogen peroxide sold in North America (United States, Canada, Mexico) by US$ 0.05/lb or CAD$ 120/mt (100% basis), effective June 15, 2014, or as contract terms permit.

This increase is necessary due to growing demand that is straining plant capacity utilization. Transportation assets are tight, coupled with rising freight rates and fuel prices.  In addition natural gas prices have escalated due to unusually cold temperatures this past winter and low inventories.

Arkema continues to make capital investments to help ensure long-term, reliable production capacity to meet customers' current and future demands.

Arkema's hydrogen peroxide energy and transportation surcharges will continue to remain in effect and can be found at:

Arkema's commercial team will be contacting its customers directly to discuss this price increase.
