Lumesis, Inc.: MAY 2014 DIVER GEO SCORES RELEASED

Proprietary Score Shines Spotlight on Economic Well-Being of U.S. States, Counties and Cities

STAMFORD, Conn., June 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - DIVER Geo Score results for May have been released. The DIVER Geo Score represents a relative score of the economic health of a U.S. State, county or city. Based on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the best, this data is updated monthly and is calculated from multiple economic and demographic factors related to three primary data categories--employment, income and housing.

Here are the latest results through May 31, 2014:

GEO SCORE: BY STATE

The Top 10 States with the greatest increase in Geo Score saw decreases in Unemployment and Foreclosure Rates, while nine of the Top 10 movers saw an increase in Housing Prices. The year on year comparison of States in the Top 10 posts remained the same (some positions did flip-flop), showing a level of consistency in the economic well-being. Nevada saw the most notable increase in Housing Prices from 2013 to 2014, while South Carolina saw the biggest drop in Unemployment Rates from 2013 to 2014.
