The Forbes "best" and "worst" in franchising was created using intel and statistics from FRANdata, the only research and information company that exclusively studies franchising. FRANdata sifted through more than 3,000 chains, considering demand for the franchise brand, success of existing franchisees and franchisor support from the perspective of "lender friendliness." In addition, FRANdata examined each brand's growth and continuity rates over the 2008 and 2012 period.

With a growth rate of 13% and continuity of 83%, Oxi Fresh was ranked third among those chains with entry costs of up to $150,000.

"It's truly gratifying to be recognized by Forbes as one the best franchises in America," said Oxi Fresh Founder and President Jonathan Barnett. "We are proud of the growth our company has achieved over the years, and our progress serves as a solid foundation on which we can continue to build the brand. We are more excited than ever about Oxi Fresh's future in the carpet cleaning industry."

Known for its green, oxygen-powered carpet cleaning system, Oxi Fresh has expanded its footprint to include more than 250 territories throughout the United States and Canada. Having opened nearly 60 new locations in the last three years alone, company plans call for adding as many as 50 new locations annually through a low-cost, home-based franchise opportunity.

The average initial investment to own and operate an Oxi Fresh franchise is $49,203 – which includes a one-time franchise fee of $32,900 and a full equipment package. Oxi Fresh franchisees are also given protected territories that include up to 110,000 households.
