This year's Women of the Channel list recognizes female executives across vendor channel organizations, distributors, and solution providers for their accomplishments over the past year, the impact they are having on the technology industry going forward, and driving channel success. This year's honorees were chosen by the editors of CRN based on their achievements as executives and their positive influence in the IT channel, representing a changing trend in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

"Heather and Tracy are exceptional leaders, both at Tech Data and within the community, and their recognition by CRN is another reflection of their outstanding performance," said Joe Quaglia, president, The Americas at Tech Data. "Through their hard work and dedication, Heather and Tracy have continually promoted growth within the organization and are committed to offering the best customer experience in the IT channel. This honor is another example of the trust that Tech Data's channel partners place in them every day to consistently deliver solutions, results and support that have an impact on the IT channel."

Murray was promoted to vice president, Tech Data Mobile Solutions in January 2014. In this role, she leads the strategic marketing and sales efforts for the company's Tech Data Mobile Solutions business, which offers solution providers the infrastructure needed to simplify entry into the mobile market. A 15-year company veteran, Murray has helped lead Tech Data's U.S. mobility strategy since the inception of the company's mobile business. In addition to her role at Tech Data, Murray serves as the chair of the 2014 Executive Council and Community Leadership Board for CompTIA's Mobility Community, a trade association advancing the global interests of IT professionals and companies in education, certification, advocacy and philanthropy. Murray holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa.

As the company's vice president, U.S. Controller, Tracy Veillette oversees Tech Data's U.S. accounting, controlling, and related transaction processing functions. Throughout her 16-year career with Tech Data, she has progressed through various leadership roles within the company. Veillette currently serves on the boards of the Accounting and Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA), the American Woman's Society of CPAs (AWSCPA) and the Children's Dream Fund. Recently, she was honored as the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Woman of the Year by Girls Inc. of Pinellas. Veillette also serves as chair of the Ladies of Tech Data (LTD) Employee Resource Group (ERG). She holds a master's degree in accounting and a bachelor's degree in business administration with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

"It is our privilege to acknowledge the exceptional achievements of the 2014 Women of the Channel and this year's Power 100," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "We are committed to raising the visibility of the contributions of women in the channel, and we applaud the far-reaching influence of these executives who are defining today's channel and helping to shape its future."

The selection of Murray and Veillette marks the ninth straight year Tech Data has been represented on CRN's Women of the Channel list. Coverage of the 2014 Women of the Channel will be featured in the June issue of CRN and expanded coverage of the Power 100 will be featured online at www.crn.com.
