Mr. Martins brings with him over 14 years of experience leading successful research and development efforts in a world-class software environment. At MicroEdge, he will be responsible for developing and guiding the direction and strategy of the company's overarching product development objectives, as well as ensuring the highest level of quality for all solutions in the company's diverse portfolio of enterprise software lines.
Prior to joining MicroEdge, Joel held senior leadership positions at Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC), one of the world's largest software companies and a member of the Fortune 500. Most recently, in the role of Senior Director of Engineering, Joel led diverse, international teams in a variety of enterprise-class data management projects, the end products of which are used by 90% of the world's Fortune 500 companies. Before taking his most recent role at Symantec, Joel held various other positions in that company's software development division. He brings extensive experience in both hands-on software engineering, as well as large team management.
