ACETO Subsidiary Rising Pharmaceuticals Launches Generic Evoxac(R) Capsules


PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., June 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ACETO Corporation (Nasdaq:ACET), a global leader in the marketing, sale and distribution of products for Human Health, Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Performance Chemicals, today announced that its Rising Pharmaceuticals, Inc. subsidiary has launched Cevimeline Hydrochloride Capsules, 30 mg strength, the generic version of Daiichi Sankyo, Inc.'s Evoxac® Capsules which is used to treat dry mouth associated with Sjögren's Syndrome.

According to IMS Health, U.S. market sales for Cevimeline Hydrochloride Capsules were approximately $56 million for the twelve months ended March 31, 2014.

This is the fifth product launched by Rising during fiscal 2014. Currently, Rising has 37 ANDAs pending FDA approval representing $1.8 billion in annual market sales, according to IMS Health.
