Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG 

UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us on 11 June 2014 pursuant to
section 25a para. 1 WpHG of the following:

On 5 June 2014, UBS AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale,
Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 6.34% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 8,761,881 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 2.92% (equals 4,041,179 voting
rights) is based on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.

In addition, a proportion of 0.85% (equals 1,180,702 voting rights) is
based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From
the voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a
proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 2.56% (equals 3,540,000 voting rights) is
based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG. From
the voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG a
proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

The (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are
described as follows:
  - Equity Swap (expiration date: 18 June 2014)
  - Equity Swap (expiration date: 19 June 2014)
