Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Appoints Lisa R. Davis Vice President of Communications For Its Electronic Systems Sector


FALLS CHURCH, Va. -- June 12, 2014 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced today that Lisa R. Davis has been appointed vice president, Communications for the Electronic Systems sector, effective June 18. She will report to Darryl M. Fraser, corporate vice president, Communications. Davis replaces Katie Lamb-Heinz, who is retiring from the company.

In her new role, Davis will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies for the company's global electronic systems business, headquartered in Linthicum, Maryland. She will lead strategic communications planning; media relations; employee communications; special events; electronic media; video production; Internet and intranet communications; graphics; reproduction; and office services. She will be a member of Northrop Grumman's Communications Council and the Electronic Systems leadership team.

Davis comes to Northrop Grumman from her most recent position as vice president, Corporate Affairs for MedImmune, the global biologics arm of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, she was vice president, Corporate Communications for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, U.S. Davis has also held senior communications positions with the AARP, the Democratic Leadership Council and the American Bar Association. She was deputy press secretary for the Clinton-Gore 1996 re-election campaign and served as governmental affairs liaison for Rep. Alan Wheat.

Davis earned a bachelor's degree in communications studies at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and master's degrees in business administration and public administration from Howard University. She is an Advisory Board member of the Healthcare Businesswoman's Association Mid-Atlantic Region and a member of the Insight Committee for the George Mason University School of Communications.
