Wintrust Financial Corporation Announces Closing of Public Offering of Subordinated Notes

ROSEMONT, Ill., June 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wintrust Financial Corporation ("Wintrust" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:WTFC) today announced the closing of its previously announced public offering of $140,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 5.000% Subordinated Notes due 2024. Wintrust received proceeds prior to expenses of approximately $139.1 million from the offering, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions.

Wintrust intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include, without limitation, investments at the holding company level, providing capital to support our growth, acquisitions or other business combinations, including FDIC-assisted acquisitions, and reducing or refinancing existing debt.

RBC Capital Markets is acting as sole book-running manager for the offering.
