OMA Announces Placement of Ps. 3,000 Million in 7-Year Notes


MONTERREY, Mexico, June 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (Nasdaq:OMAB) (BMV:OMA), announces the successful placement of 7-year Notes in the Mexican market.

The Ps. 3,000 million in long-term Notes (Certificados Bursátiles; ticker OMA14) were placed today at a fixed rate of 6.85%; bids were 2.2 times the amount offered. The Notes pay interest every 182 days, and mature on June 7, 2021. They received a rating of mxAA+ from Standard & Poor's and AA+ (mex) from Fitch Ratings. OMA expects to use the proceeds of the Notes to prepay its Ps. 1,300 million principal amount of floating rate notes issued in 2011 (ticker OMA11). The floating rate notes will be paid on their next interest payment date – July 11, 2014. The balance of the new Notes will be used to finance Master Development Program investments at OMA's 13 airports and strategic investments.
