Motorhome Owners to Receive Free Roadside Assistance With Every New Motorhome Equipped With a Custom Chassis From Spartan Chassis

CHARLOTTE, Mich., June 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spartan Chassis ("Spartan"), a business unit of Spartan Motors, Inc. (Nasdaq:SPAR), announced today it has signed an agreement with Coach-Net to offer roadside assistance, a complete package of emergency roadside services available free of charge to owners of premium motorhomes featuring a Spartan Chassis. The program, which covers all 2015 model-year coaches, offers options such as towing, tire changes, fuel deliveries and battery jump-starts.

"Roadside assistance service offers extra security for motorhome owners," said Art Ickes, President of the Specialty Vehicles business unit, Spartan Chassis. "One phone call and the motorhome owner will receive free roadside assistance, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to any location in the continental United States or in Canada. Spartan is focused on service that will excite the consumer and develops brand fanatics. Spartan roadside assistance is a service which turns a negative situation into a positive event."

Roadside assistance coverage includes:

  • Towing and mobile mechanical assistance to the nearest qualified repair facility
  • Delivery of up to five gallons of fuel or replacement fluids
  • Tire change or replacement
  • Battery jumpstart
  • Lockout service or replacement key

Coach-Net is the largest automotive roadside assistance and technical support company in North America, with a network of more than 20,000 qualified roadside assistance providers who provide full-time technical support and emergency road service.

Spartan prides itself on excellent customer support, which is one of the reasons current Spartan owners are said to overwhelmingly prefer the Spartan experience for their next chassis. Spartan's free roadside assistance plan is good for three years or 50,000 miles and utilizes Coach-Net to handle any roadside assistance concerns.

Current Spartan owners who are still under warranty and eligible for roadside assistance will be transitioned into the Coach-Net program for the remainder of their warranty.

Spartan has over 400 authorized service centers to handle any service or warranty repair work that might occur, and a list of more than 1,000 other service centers, such as RV dealers, can also provide service or parts.
